Weak low blood pressure affects the area.
Today, the weather will initially be partly cloudy with a chance of isolated rain, mainly in the west, but gradually it will become mainly cloudy and local showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly in the highlands and the eastern half of the island. In a storm, hail is possible, while snow or sleet may fall on the highest peaks of Troodos. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and transient in the afternoon on windward coasts to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and in the afternoon locally upwind to rough. The temperature will rise to around 19 degrees in the interior and the coasts and to 9 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, there will be occasional increased cloud, which may give isolated showers, mainly in the west. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, but later to the west and north to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and gradually in the west and north until rough. The temperature will drop to 6 degrees inland, around 10 on the coast and 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form locally.
On Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy and isolated showers may occur. On Sunday the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy. On Monday, the weather will be mostly sunny.
The temperature will gradually rise and fluctuate above the average climatic values.
