No complaint has been filed with the Cyprus Theater Organization (THOC) in the past, but not at this stage, regarding sexual or other harassment, according to an announcement by the Organization, on the occasion of rumors or publications that have seen the light of day either in printed or in the electronic press.
This announcement:
"On the occasion of rumors or publications that have seen the light of day, either in print or in the electronic press, the Cyprus Theater Organization wishes to inform that no complaint has been submitted to it in the past, but not at this stage, regarding sexual or other harassment. In any case, the THOK is ready, in case of submission of a formal complaint that falls within its competence, to take all the necessary measures necessary for the rehabilitation of the victim.
The Cyprus Theatrical Organization explicitly and unequivocally states that it condemns any phenomenon of harassment, violence and abusive behavior and encourages those who have suffered any such behavior to immediately file a complaint with the competent authorities.
During the last fortnight, THOK has been working closely with the Commissioner for Administration and Protection of Human Rights to create and issue a Code of Practice for the Prevention and Treatment of Harassment and Sexual Harassment at Work, tailored to the needs of the the rights of all employees, while creating an obligation for managers and employers in general to provide immediate protection to potential victims. "
