According to the latest information received today by the Ministry of Health from the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, seven new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed.
Specifically, these are:
- Five people who are under house arrest and had close contact with two confirmed cases that had been identified in the previous days. They were examined in the context of tracing the confirmed cases.
- A person who was treated at the Limassol General Hospital.
- A person who had recently traveled from the UK was under house arrest, and contacted the appropriate authorities when he developed symptoms.
The Epidemiological Surveillance Unit of the Ministry of Health has already started tracking the contacts and the seven cases and will proceed to take samples for specialized examinations.
