CYPRUS: These are the new relaxations - What changes in sms, schools, gyms and tutoring

With the dropper the new relaxations announced by the Council of Ministers since the goal is to avoid a setback in view of the Easter holidays.

See the relaxations in detail:

1. Reopening on April 2 with the physical presence of the students of the Primary Schools of the District of Limassol and the Gymnasiums all over Cyprus, by presenting a negative test for rapid antigen detection.

2. Increase of the maximum allowed number of persons, regardless of age, in private tuition centers and private educational institutions to seven (7) persons, including the instructor (6 students plus 1 instructor). It is understood that their operation is governed by the guidelines and the health protocol of the Ministries of Health and Education.

3. Following the consultation that will take place between representatives of the Ministries of Education and Health and the Scientific Advisory Committee with the organized bodies, a program will be drawn up in the next period for a rapid nasal antigen test in the second cycle of Primary School students ( 4th, 5th and 6th grade).

4. Individual sports / championships are allowed in outdoor sports facilities, according to the guidelines of the Cyprus Sports Organization and the Ministry of Health (eg shooting, athletics, cycling, etc.).

5. Increase of the existing number of people in swimming pools and gyms, based on the protocol of the COM and the Ministry of Health.

6. The presence and stay of customers outside the gambling and betting companies is allowed, provided that the service will be done exclusively in table seats and on a protocol basis.

7. Increase the number of text messages per citizen to three (3) for trafficking purposes only on Saturday and Sunday. It is emphasized that on the remaining days, it is allowed to send two (2) text messages.

The above measures that will be regulated by Decree, come into force from April 1st to April 30th. The Council of Ministers will meet the week before Holy Week to assess the epidemiological picture for any adjustments to the measures that will be in force in view of Easter.
