CYPRUS: Cases are decreasing - Under 1.800 today according to the Ministry. Health

The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 20 2022:

- No deaths were reported.

- Total number of deaths with final cause of the disease COVID-19: 823.

-       162 patients COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals

-       38 in serious condition (ICU: 1 out of ventilator / 12 intubated, MAF: 25)

- Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 66,67%

-       26 Patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated for COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic examinations:

- They took place in total 86.413 diagnostic examinations

- They were located 1.794 new cases (set of cases 306.219).

- Position rate in all exams 2,08%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- They took place 7.091 molecular tests

- They emerged  173positive incidents

- Position of positivity 2,44%

-       Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (fastTest):

- They were carried out 79.322 rapid antigen detection tests

- They emerged 1.621 positive incidents

- Position of positivity 2,04%

Tracking:

- They were carried out 1.228 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 52 positive events (percentage of positivity 4,23%)

Private initiative:

- They were carried out 1.224 molecular tests were identified 126 positive events (percentage of positivity 10,29%)

- They were carried out 28.884 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 732 positive events (percentage of positivity 2,53%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health were carried out 50.438 rapid antigen detection test. They were located 889 positive incidents.

- Sampling points: 47.119 rapid detection tests were detected 826 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,75%)

Other

- Nursing homes: conducted  52 rapid antigen detection test, no positive cases detected (percentage of positivity 0%)

- Closed structures: carried out 2.039 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 11 new incidents (percentage of positivity 0,54%).

Note:

The figures mentioned in the announcement are indicative and may vary based on the final and up-to-date data sent in the context of the National Epidemiological Risk Report published every second Friday.
