The recent rains in Cyprus have been beneficial, at least in terms of the fullness of the dams.
According to the data of the Department of Water Development, the total occupancy of the 18 largest dams in Cyprus amounts to 78,1%. In fact, the corresponding percentage last year was only 12,8%.
One of them, that of Kalopanagiotis, has already overflowed and it is considered a given that if the rains continue then other dams will follow.
