They not only have to teach them, but also to τους scan them. That is, to check every day, especially the first period, SafePass through the new application CovScan, which since last week has become our daily routine. The reason for the teachers, who also undertook this "task", checking the SafePass of students from 14 years and older, ie from the XNUMXrd Gymnasium to the XNUMXrd Lyceum.

Speaking to "F" the president of OELMEK, Costas Hadjisavvas, about the new reality in schools - as control with CovScan is done from the day before yesterday to the students - reported that in recent days teachers have been forced to "download" the relevant application on their mobile phones in order to control the children. A process that takes place in the first semester, especially in large schools, where it is impossible for one person (the principal or the person designated by the principal) to have hundreds of students standing at the school entrance to scan the SafePass to enter school space.

This, as Mr. Hadjisavvas stated, creates difficulties as on the one hand it takes time to check about 25 children per class, which costs their teaching time, and on the other hand there are issues that have to do with the role of teachers in conjunction with the use of their personal phones for such issues of students.

However, for the process of scanning the SafePass of students in schools through the CovScan application, a circular was sent by the Ministry of Education, which in addition to the details of the ages of the children covered by the relevant policy decision, indicates that this application can be installed in devices - tablets that exist in schools. At this point there seem to be other issues on the part of teachers, regarding the number of devices that exist in schools and in particular, the large ones in number of students and consequently in the number of departments. In addition, the circular states that the control is performed by the school principal or a person appointed by him.

It is noted that this week is the first that the control through CovScan came into force to students 14 years and older. The schools, however, through this application controlled from November 22 the teachers, their other staff as well as the visitors.

In addition, in the circular sent to the schools, the Ministry of Education refers to both the celebrations and the events in public and private schools, reminding that from November 29 they are suspended.
