Roadblocks are being opened today with measures and conditions. Yesterday, the Ministry of Interior issued a statement on the occasion of the relaxation of the measures concerning the movement from and to the areas controlled by the Government of the Republic, from June 21.

The announcement reminds that the Republic of Cyprus, from June 21, will allow the movement from and to the areas controlled by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, to all Cypriot citizens and to persons residing legally in the Republic of Cyprus.

Specifically, the movement of all groups of persons included in the announcement of the Ministry of Interior dated June 5 will be allowed, provided that they will present, only the first time they are trafficked, a negative certificate of molecular examination for his disease. COVID-19, valid for up to 72 hours before and then random sampling will be performed.

The categories of people who only need to present a negative molecular test certificate for the first time are:
a) Turkish Cypriot workers, who must provide a work certificate from their employer that includes their full name and Social Security number (AKA). Copies or e-mails of these certificates will be accepted.

b) Greek Cypriot workers who live permanently in the Tilliria Tower and work in Nicosia. For these cases, a relevant certificate must be submitted by their employer that includes a full name and Social Security number (AKA). It is understood that the unimpeded passage of ambulances from the Tillyria Tower to Nicosia will also be allowed.

c) Turkish Cypriot students studying in schools or academic institutions located in the free areas controlled by the KD who will be transported only by the roadblock of Ledra Palace. They will be transported only by means of transport that will be available to the schools and academic institutions in which they study.

Passing private vehicles will not be allowed. For this purpose, a certificate of attendance from the school or academic institution must be submitted, which must include the full name. Pupils / students are allowed to contact the schools / academic institutions in which they study, in order to be informed about the details of their transport by transport through the roadblock of Ledra Palace.

d) Greek Cypriots and Maronites who live permanently in the occupied territories are trapped, as well as re-settled.

e) Cypriot citizens residing in the occupied territories and receiving medical and medical treatment at the Oncology Center of the Bank of Cyprus, at the Institute of Neurology and Genetics and in Public or Private Hospitals in the free areas. A relevant medical certificate must be provided by a doctor or hospital, which will include a full name.

All Cypriot citizens who do not belong to the above categories, as well as all legal residents, will be able to move to and from the areas controlled by the Government of the Republic, provided that they will present each time a negative molecular examination certificate for his illness COVID-19 , valid up to 72 hours in advance.

It will also be permitted to pass with exceptional approval by the Minister of the Interior for humanitarian reasons.
