The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (YPPAN) announces that the process of electronic submission of applications for participation in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021 begins on Monday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. and ends on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

It is clarified that the period between March 29, at 11:00 am, and April 2, at 9:00 am, is given to give the necessary time to the candidates to register on the electronic platform, to create the their application, to process it, to modify it and to come up with the final options that are most suitable for them. It is emphasized that, during this period, the final submission of applications will not be possible.

The final submission of applications will begin on Friday, April 2 at 9:00 a.m. and will be completed on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

It is emphasized that, after the final submission of the application, no change or modification will be allowed pthe options of the Access Frameworks, the examined courses and the Schools / Departments of the Educational Institutions in which the candidates wish to be admitted. The responsibility for any errors, negligence or omissions related to the above, lies solely with the candidate himself.

The online platform will be on the official website of the Examination Service (http://www.moec.gov.cy/ypexams) and can be accessed from any computer, as long as there is internet access.

 

1. Exam Fees for the purpose of access to the HEIs of Cyprus and Greece

Candidates pay fees to participate in the Pancyprian Examinations for the purpose of Access to the Higher and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Cyprus and Greece. The examination fees of all Access courses as well as the Special Examinations amount to € 25.00, except for the examination fees of the Practical Exam which amount to € 50.00

Candidates who participate in the Pancyprian Examinations only for the purpose of Dismissal are excluded from the payment of fees.

The children of the trapped are exempted from the examination fees, after presenting a relevant certificate from the Humanitarian Affairs Service.

According to a circular of the Ministry of Education (No. 7.2.25.19 / 4, dated 26/2/2021, ypp11906), students who participate in the feeding program, after a suggestion from the Directorates of their schools, are exempted from the obligation to pay fees for participation in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021.

Immediately after the completion of the application period, all the necessary electronic checks will be carried out by the Examination Service and then the period and the procedure for the payment of the examination fees will be announced. Payment of examination fees will also be made electronically using a debit / credit card, through the online application platform.

All the candidates who have finally submitted their application on the electronic platform, will be informed about the relevant details and the schedules of payment of the examination fees, through an announcement on the website of the Examination Service as well as with a personal message on the mobile phone number with which made their registration.

Candidates who do not submit their application within the specified deadline, will not be entitled to payment and consequently the part of their application that concerns the Access to the HEIs of Cyprus and Greece will be automatically canceled.

Candidates who will not pay the required exam fees within the specified deadline, should be aware that the part of their application that concerns the Access to the Universities of Cyprus and Greece will be automatically canceled.

It is clarified that candidates who, within the set deadline, do not submit their final application or do not pay the required examination fees, will participate in the Pancyprian Examinations only for the purpose of Dismissal, according to the operating regulations of the Public Secondary Schools.

2. Application for the provision of facilities to people with special needs

Candidates who belong to the category of people with special needs and wish to claim any facilities, must submit along with the application for participation in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021 and an electronic application for the provision of facilities.

Senior students of Public and Private Schools of the same type (Category AD) who participate in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021 for the purpose of Dismissal or for the purpose of Dismissal and Access to the HEIs of Cyprus and Greece, should print the Request for Facilitation. eg Decision of the District Committee of Special Education and Training, Medical certificates, other evaluations, etc.) and to deliver them to the responsible teacher appointed by the Coordinator of each school for their receipt.

In cases where the provision of specific facilities will be approved by the Special Committee for the Provision of Facilities, the candidate will be informed and the competent Committee of the Examination Center will be informed, which will take care of their implementation.

3. Practical Test Examination

Candidates for the Practice Exam for Admission to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science (Box 9), as well as applicants for the award as Distinguished Athletes, are invited to carefully study the instructions found in Guide 2021 ΄, pp. 55-62) and send the required documents to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth in a timely manner.

4. Applications for Military Schools

Those interested in admission to the Higher Military Educational Institutions (ASEI) and the Higher Military Schools for Non-Commissioned Officers (ASSY) of Greece, after submitting their application electronically, should print it and send it to the Ministry of Defense together with the relevant Defense. All information regarding the candidates for Military Schools can be found in the Guide to the Pancyprian Examinations 2021, Volume AD, pp. 101-113.

According to the Ministry of Defense, by April 12, 2021, the date of commencement of the Medical Examination for the Military Schools of Greece, the candidates for these Schools will have to complete all the required medical examinations. The relevant form of the required medical examinations / opinions is posted on the website of the Ministry of Defense and must be submitted completed by the candidates during the health examination, accompanied by the examinations / opinions. These candidates must, in addition, present their identity card.

Interested candidates should visit the website of the Ministry of Defense for information on the time of attendance at the health examination, sports and psychotechnical test.

5. Department of Fine Arts, Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and Departments of Fine Arts of Greece

Admission to the Department of Fine Arts of TEPAK, to the Department of Fine Arts of the Athens School of Fine Arts, to the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Thessaloniki, to the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Fine Arts and the University of Western University of Ioannina requires different examination procedures.

Details on the dates for submitting applications and conducting the Exams for admission to the above Departments, as well as other relevant information, will be announced at a later stage, so those interested are encouraged to visit the website of the Examination Service for their information.

6. Claiming a position for the HEIs of Greece

According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Religions, for the admission to the Higher Education of Greece in the academic year 2020-21, in the category of foreigners-allogeneic (graduates of Lyceums or respective schools of EU member states) belong the graduates of schools for which the following conditions are met:

a) at least one of the parents of the candidates is not of Greek origin,

b) have attended with full attendance the last two classes of the Lyceum or corresponding school in a foreign country.

Candidates who meet the above criteria based on the above directive, can be admitted to Greek HEIs through the Pancyprian Examinations, with the category of foreigners-allogeneic (graduates of Lyceums or corresponding schools of European Union member states).

Graduates and graduates of Cypriot Schools of Greek origin, who do not meet the above requirements, are admitted to Greek HEIs with a separate process which is decided and announced by the Ministry of Education and Religions of Greece.

7. Candidates who participate only for access purposes (Category B)

A. Graduate students of Evening Gymnasiums-Lyceums, Evening Technical Schools and Private Schools of Similar or Different type

All senior students of Public Evening Gymnasiums-Lyceums, Public Evening Technical Schools and Private Schools of Similar or Various type, who will participate in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021 only for the purpose of Access, after submitting their application, must submit by e-mail to the Examination Service (Mailbox: 28777, 2082, Strovolos, Nicosia) the following documents, until Thursday, April 8, 2021 (date with clear postmark):

a) Copy of the electronic application they have submitted for participation in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021,

b) A copy of both sides of the Cypriot identity card or their passport,

c) Certificate of Individual Data of senior students of Evening Gymnasiums-Lyceums, Evening Technical Schools and Private Schools of Similar or Various type (Form PE 03), which must be obtained fully completed and signed by the school.

d) In case they have submitted an application for the provision of facilities, they should print the said application and attach the necessary supporting documents / certificates that support their request.

B. Graduates of previous years

All graduates of previous years, who will participate in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021 only for Access purposes, after submitting their application electronically, will have to print and send by mail to the Examination Service (PO Box: 28777, 2082, Strovosolos) the following documents, until Thursday, April 8, 2021 (date with clear postmark):

a) Copy of the electronic application they have submitted for participation in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021,

b) A copy of both sides of the Cypriot identity card or their passport,

c) Certificate of Dismissal or a copy of their Diploma certified by the Principal of their Graduation School,

d) In case they have submitted an application for the provision of facilities, they should print the said application and attach the necessary supporting documents / certificates that support their request.

C. Candidates residing abroad

Candidates who reside abroad and will participate in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021 only for Access purposes, after submitting their application electronically, will have to print and send by mail to the Examination Service (PO Box: 28777, 2082, Strovosolos) the following documents, until Thursday, April 8, 2021 (date with clear postmark):

a) Copy of the electronic application they have submitted for participation in the Pancyprian Examinations 2021,

b) A copy of both sides of their identity card or passport,

c) Certified copy of the Diploma or, in case they are final year students, a certificate of personal details from their School,

d) In case they have submitted an application for the provision of facilities, they should print the said application and attach the necessary supporting documents / certificates that support their request.

8. Access to information and other relevant material

For the provision of Educational Counseling, candidates are invited to contact the Teacher of Counseling and Vocational Education (SEA) of their School, the Counseling and Vocational Education Service of the Ministry of Education (Tel. 22800931) or the local District Offices of the Counseling and Professional days and hours.

All information related to the Pancyprian Examinations 2021, is published in the Guide to the Pancyprian Examinations 2021, which is available in the warehouse of the Ministry of Education, bookstores and on the website of the Examination Service: (www.moec.gov.cy/ypexams).

During the electronic submission period, daily, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 pm, will operate in the Examination Service call center (Tel .: 22582933/22582934) to support those interested in the process of registration and submission of applications on the electronic platform.
