Announcement of the University of Nicosia for two positive cases COVID-19
The University of Nicosia was informed on Sunday, 18/10/2020, about the identification of two positive cases of the disease COVID-19 in his community. These cases concern students of the Department of Life and Health Sciences, who are in good health with mild symptoms.
The University of Nicosia implemented the action plan in case of a positive case of the disease COVID-19, during which the premises where the practical courses of the said department take place were immediately disinfected. The laboratory classes of the department for the next 10 days will be conducted online to prevent the spread of the virus. Everyone who has been in contact with the students has been informed and is already in self-limitation.
It is noted that from the beginning of the academic year all the theoretical courses of the University of Nicosia are conducted online.
Finally, it is emphasized that the University of Nicosia, from the early stages of the spread of the disease COVID-19 worldwide and before even cases of SARS-COV-2 virus are detected in Cyprus, he developed and implemented a special operating protocol aimed at protecting the health of his community. The protocol is constantly reviewed according to the epidemiological situation of the country.
