There was a rapid increase in coronavirus cases in the occupied territories, with the so-called "Ministry of Health" announcing on Thursday 1001 new positive cases diagnosed in a 24-hour period. It's all about home infections.
The cases resulted from a total of 20882 diagnostic tests.
434 concern people in Nicosia, 239 in Kyrenia, 242 in Famagusta, 12 in Trikomo, 50 in Morfou and 24 in Lefka.
The total number of confirmed cases reaches 39.371 and the deaths of patients with COVID-19 to 143.
