Rapid tests and pharmacies will be able to make a plan according to what the President of the Pancyprian Pharmaceutical Association, Eleni Piera Isseyek, said on state radio on the morning of Tuesday, March 16th.
Following the cooperation of the Ministry of Health with the Pancyprian Pharmaceutical Association, citizens can undergo a quick diagnostic test for a fee at private pharmacies, which, according to the relevant circular, will issue negative results, which will be recognized by the Authorities. and will record the positive results in the file of positive cases of the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health.
According to Eleni Piera Isseyek, rapid diagnostic tests will be performed exclusively by pharmacists, as health professionals and will not be available to citizens for self-diagnosis, as this is prohibited in Cyprus, while in some European countries it is allowed.
The tests are performed outside the pharmacy, by appointment, during the noon holiday, using a mask, mask, robe, and disposable gloves separately for each person examined.
Ms. Isseyek spoke of a step in the right direction, saying that accessibility is recognized in the neighborhood pharmacy, which assists in the compliance of people who cannot go to checkpoints and chemistry.
