In the workplace and secondarily in schools, the epidemiologist Michalis Voniatis attributed the deterioration of epidemiological indicators.
Speaking on state radio, Mr. Voniatis said that the percentage of cases in school units is at 10 to 12% and therefore schools should not be targeted.
He stressed that The main problem is located in workplaces that are not adequately controlled and are hotbeds of case chain development.
Mr. Voniatis pointed out that teleworking is a stable measure in many European countries and should have been implemented a long time ago in Cyprus.
He stressed that the government's decision on telework at 20% is not satisfactory.
He even pointed out that many companies in Europe apply telework to 90% or even 100%.
"In Cyprus it is as if there is no teleworking", said characteristically Mr. Voniatis.
At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility that further measures may need to be taken if the deterioration of epidemiological indicators continues.
