Little Antonis returned to Cyprus in excellent condition

returned, Little Antonis

Little Antonis, who was in Boston for the last two months, returned to Cyprus today, where he received the gene therapy for the type 1 spinal muscular atrophy he is facing.

His mother, Hara Thomas, in her statements at the airport, thanked all the people who stood by them, while emphasizing that they feel proud of our society and state.

"We are proud of Ms. Giannaki who stood by us from the first moment. I wish the best. Our doctor, Mr. Zaras, was impressed with the attitude of the Cypriot government. We want to thank everyone and we are very excited. "If our thanks were strong two months ago, now it is even stronger with our experiences", noted Antonis' mother.

For her part, the General Director of the Ministry of Health, Christina Giannaki noted that the little patient after two months of adventure returned in excellent condition.

"The Ministry of Health is really happy because it gave this help to our little patient. Like I told his parents, we are here. The little patient will go to Boston again next year for a review and we wish him all the best ", concluded Ms. Giannaki.
