The 20-year-old hunter from Limassol, who was struck by lightning in the area of Agios Georgios Alamanos yesterday afternoon, is being treated in the neurosurgical department of the Nicosia General Hospital.
Due to the critical condition of his health, and especially due to a hematoma on his head after he fell to the ground, the treating doctors at the Limassol General Hospital deemed it necessary to transport him to the Nicosia hospital.
The 61-year-old uncle of the 20-year-old is also hospitalized with serious burns. His state of health is not a cause for concern.
According to the police, the accident happened at three yesterday afternoon. The 20-year-old was hunting with his 12-year-old brother and his 61-year-old uncle. Due to a storm that broke out in the area, the three tried to return to the home of the 61-year-old hunter who is in the area. Unfortunately for them, the two hunters were struck by lightning. The child was not injured.
