According to the Meteorological Service,today the weather will be at times mostly cloudy and light rain is likely to fall locally, while in the higher peaks of Troodos light snow or sleet.
The winds will blow northeast to southeast, weak 3 but temporarily in the wind, up to moderate 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 19 degrees inland and on the coast and to 9 degrees in the higher mountains.
The evening the weather will be at times mostly cloudy and it is not excluded that light rains will fall locally, while in the higher peaks of Troodos light snow or sleet. The winds will blow northwest to northeast and on the north coast southeast, weak 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to 7 degrees inland, around 10 on the coast and to 1 degree in the higher mountains, where locally frost will form.
Wednesday the weather will be partly cloudy and it is possible that light rains will fall locally, while in the higher peaks of Troodos light snow or sleet may fall.
On Thursday the weather will be partly cloudy and local rains are expected, while from the afternoon isolated thunderstorms are possible. It is expected to snow on the highest peaks of Troodos.
Friday the weather will be partly cloudy at times and local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected.
The temperature will fluctuate at the same levels, which are close to the climatic averages.
The height of the snow in Troodos Square, at the time of issuance of the bulletin, was 18 cm.
