Satisfaction for the rains of the last days was expressed by the Technical Engineer of the 1st class of the Department of Water Development, Marios Chatzikostis, speaking at Mesimeri kai Kati.
In particular, he said that in the last 24 hours alone, 10,3 million cubic meters of water have flowed into the dams.
He expressed the belief that in the coming days we will have flow in the dams, even more reduced, with the competent Department estimating that a total of 10 million cubic meters of water will flow.
He explained that the goal is to reach 75% of the dams. He added that the total amount of water in the dams reaches 164,4 million cubic meters or 56,5%.
The Kouris dam, which is the largest, is at 63,7 million or 55,4%, while yesterday it received almost 2 million cubic meters of water. Also, Asprokremmos reached 69,3%, while the big surprise for this year is in Lefkara, where the dam reaches 87% of its fullness.
