The Statistical Service announces the publication of the report "Registrations of Motor Vehicles" which covers the period January-November 2021.
In November 2021, total motor vehicle registrations reached 2.353, down 38,1% from November 2020. Saloon passenger car registrations fell 42,7% to 1.726.
The main developments in vehicle registrations during the period January-November 2021, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, can be summarized as follows:
(a) The total number of registered vehicles decreased by 9,4% in the period January-November 2021 and reached 32.698, compared to 36.079 in the same period of 2020.
(b) Registrations of saloon passenger cars decreased by 10,5% to 25.067, compared to 28.000 in the corresponding period of 2020. Of the total saloon passenger cars, 10.117 or 40,4% were new and 14.950 or 59,6, XNUMX% were used cars.
(c) Bus registrations decreased to 50 in the period January-November 2021, from 298 in the same period of 2020.
(d) The registrations of freight transport vehicles decreased to 3.789 in the period January-November 2021, compared to 4.452 in the corresponding period of 2020, recording a decrease of 14,9%. Specifically, light trucks decreased by 18,0% to 2.881 and heavy trucks by 17,0% to 429, while road tractors (trailers) increased by 3,0% to 171 and rental vehicles by 19,8% to 308.
(e) Registrations of mopeds <50ke increased to 235 in the period January-November 2021, from 192 in the corresponding period of the previous year, showing an increase of 22,4%.
(f) Motorcycle registrations> 50ke increased by 16,2% to 3.173 in the period January-November 2021, compared to 2.731 in the same period of 2020.
