Weak low blood pressure affects the area.
Initially today, in the west, there will be locally increased cloudiness, which cannot be ruled out to give isolated light rain, while in the rest of the island, the weather will be mostly sunny. Gradually, however, and mainly during the midday hours and after, locally increased clouds that will develop from time to time, are expected to give isolated rains, especially in the mountains but also in the eastern half of the island. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the afternoon breeze to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will generally be a little rough, although in the east, it will initially be calm to a little rough. The temperature will rise to around 21 degrees inland, on the south and east coasts, around 20 on the west and north coasts and 13 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy and partly cloudy in places, while isolated showers are expected in the west and north, with the possibility of an isolated, brief thunderstorm. On the highest peaks of Troodos, it is possible to get snow and rain. Winds will be descending, light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will generally remain a little rough, while in the east, it will soon become calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 12 degrees in the interior and on the coasts and to 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form locally.
On Friday, the weather will be cloudy at times, while local rains and isolated storms are expected, initially in the west and in the north and progressively in the rest of the island.
On Saturday, locally increased clouds will be observed at times, which are expected to give isolated rain. On Sunday, increased average and high clouds will be observed from time to time, while low clouds that will develop temporarily, it is possible to give isolated rain in the mountains. From Sunday onwards, dust will be suspended in the atmosphere at intervals.
The temperature until Sunday is not expected to change significantly, remaining slightly above the average climatic values of the season.
