The 4th Children's Festival and 24th Summer Children's Festival of Ayia Napa took place on Sunday, June 10.
The Festivals were organized by the Municipality of Ayia Napa in collaboration with the Ecological Primary School "Antonis Tsokkos", the Ecological Kindergarten of Ayia Napa, the Parents' Associations of the two Schools, the Open School of Ayia Napa, the Pengia Youth Orientation Council, Paagia. OPO and the Church of Panagia Agia Napa.
A written statement said: "Hundreds of children and their parents flooded the Ayia Napa Municipal Stadium early in the afternoon and took part in the survival games led by Survivor player Mario Priamo, in the corners of activities such as Painting, Painting, Pottery They built original games and constructions, played Basketball with the Peace Players - Cyprus (PRI-CY) and indulged in their athletic abilities. The Little Cooks of the Open School made fruit salads which they offered to the attendees ".
The children also had the opportunity to be trained in Robotics by an Open School teacher taking first steps with Lego We Do, the White and Black Kingdom and by the Robotics Departments of the Apoplous Frenaros Cultural Group who presented Next Spin Art, Encino ERP Pro programming , Meet Edison Sumo Wrestling & Barcode Programming, Next race car, Pre boot car.
The children spent beautiful moments with their favorite mascots from the group "Colorful Fun" and enjoyed ice cream offered to them for free by the Pancyprian Organization of Five-Member Family PDO.
They also chose books of their choice from the Book Fair, which operated in the area, and received advice from the Neighborhood Police, who in addition offered them colorful balloons and small souvenirs.
At the 24th Children's Festival and 10th Summer Festival of Agia Napa Children, there were kiosks of the Parents' Associations of the Primary School "Antonis Tsokkos" and the Kindergarten of Ayia Napa, which sold various delicacies for both delicacies and profits from sales.
Mayor Giannis Karousos stated that “with the innovations that took place this year at the already successful Children's Festival, the Municipality managed to organize an exceptional Festival. The changes that took place, such as the relocation of the Festival from the Central Square to the Municipal Stadium and the removal of the artistic program, enabled the children to participate in various activities and crafts and to play more with the games ".
Mr. Karousos congratulated "all the volunteers who helped in every way in the event" and noted that "without their voluntary contribution, the Municipality of Ayia Napa could not have organized the Festival".
