The new drilling of the Italian ENI in the "Saturn 2" target in bottom block 6 of the Cypriot exclusive economic zone was successful, since as the KYPE is informed, the flame above the target has already been ignited.

As the KYPE is informed, the fact that there is a flame ignition indicates the existence of a reservoir in the target. It is recalled that the drilling on the "Saturn 2" target was carried out by the floating drilling rig Transocean Barents.

It is noted that "Saturn 2" is the fourth discovery in block 6, after "Zeus" with estimated reserves of 2 to 3 trillion. cubic feet, "Saturn 1" with an estimated amount of 2,5 tcf and "Calypso", which the company had described as a "promising discovery" with characteristics of the Egyptian field "Zor".

Block 6 is located approximately 160 kilometers southwest of the Cypriot authorities. EMI with a 50% share is the manager of the block with France's Total Energies participating in the consortium with a 50% share.
