The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, at a press conference tonight, January 29 at 8pm, will make the first annual presentation of the actions that the executive power intends to promote (First Cypriot State of the Union).

In his statements to KYPE, Government Spokesman Constantinos Letymiotis had said that the President is launching an institution, which aims to further strengthen accountability to society and to contribute catalytically to the transparent and timely communication of policies that the Government is planning.

He pointed out that "the reports will concern the main reforms and actions of the Government and are part of the accountability of the Government and the notification of what it plans to implement, in continuation of the Action Plans of the Ministries for 2024, which have been published for the first time, and which cover all areas in detail".

He added that President Christodoulidis will make this presentation, implementing the provision of the government program for institutional reforms, which contribute to the restructuring of the state.

He noted that the annual governance planning, which President Christodoulidis will establish as an institution, follows the practices of other countries and institutions.

He pointed out that the policies of the governance program for institutional reforms that contribute to the restructuring of the state include "the annual presentation by the President of the Republic of the legislative program that the executive power intends to promote".

"The annual governance planning aims to present the project that the Government plans to implement or put on track for implementation in the year 2024. The presentation of the main priorities for the year is done to inform society, the members of the legislative and the judiciary authority, the representatives of the social partners and the productive forces", said Mr. Letympiotis.
