The Pancyprian Hoteliers Association assures that hoteliers do not refuse in any case to pay the 13th salary and already many of the hotel companies have done so based on the established practice that has been followed for years, ie proportionally based on the real working time of each employee.

In a statement, PASYXE expresses its regret "for the style and content that the trade unions have chosen to use in the announcement they issued".

"Hoteliers in no way refuse to pay the 13th salary and several of the hotel companies have already done so based on the established practice of years, ie proportionally based on the actual working time of each employee," he said.

He added that he is at the disposal of anyone to discuss and explain the above if necessary, to add that "certainly insults, characterizations and threats do not fall within the scope of resolving any issues."

Finally, he states that "the 13th salary will be paid and has already started to be paid always based on the established practice that concerns our sector".
