Meatballs wrapped in bacon

And mozzarella filling

Ingredients

  • 250 gr. ground beef
  • 250 gr. Ground pork sausage
  • 75 gr. breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • Grated mozzarella
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • Barbecue sauce

Implementation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Put the minced meat, sausage, toast, onion, garlic and egg in a bowl and mix until you create a homogeneous dough.
  3. Shape the meatballs and create a dent in each of them with your thumb.
  4. Fill with the grated mozzarella and shape into balls again.
  5. Wrap each meatball in a slice of bacon and place in a pan with oil paste.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, spread with the barbecue sauce and bake for another 5 minutes.
  8. Optionally, you can repeat brushing with the barbecue sauce and baking twice more for extra flavor.
