Recipe for Chicken with garlic and honey sauce

Your new favorite chicken recipe

  • 6 chicken thighs, bone-in or boneless
  • 2 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 6 cloves garlic, melted
  • 1/3 cup tea honey
  • 1/4 cup teaspoon water (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp of rice wine (or apple cider vinegar or any white vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper

Season the chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder and set aside.

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and sear the chicken on both sides until all sides are browned and cooked through.

Reduce the heat after cooking on both sides, cover the pan with a lid and continue cooking until the chicken is cooked, turning every 5 minutes.

Drain most of the excess oil from the pan, leaving about 2 tablespoons for extra flavor.

When the chicken is ready and cooked, place the chicken skin side up in the pan (if cooking with the skin on) and add the garlic, sauteing until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add the honey, water, vinegar and soy sauce. Increase the heat to medium-high and continue cooking until the sauce has reduced and thickened slightly, about 3-4 minutes.

Garnish with parsley and serve on top of vegetables, rice, pasta or salad.
