Baked ribs with homemade barbecue sauce

Ingredients

  • 900 gr. Lamb chops
  • 1/2 cup teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. Red pepper
  • For the barbecue sauce: 1 1/2 cups. of ketchup tea, 1 cup. teaspoon brown sugar, 1/2 cup. teaspoon water, 1/4 cup. teaspoon apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp molasses, 1 tbsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, 1/2 tsp. onion powder, 1/4 tsp. ground mustard, 1/4 tsp. paprika

Implementation

step 1

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and line a baking tray with foil.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, pepper, paprika, mustard powder and cayenne. Spread the mixture on all the ribs and place them in a prepared pan. Cover with foil and bake until very soft, about 2 hours.

For the barbecue sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, recover all the ingredients of the sauce. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, for 1 hour.

Remove the foil from the ribs and smear both sides with the homemade barbecue sauce. Bake until the sauce starts to caramelize, 2 to 4 minutes.
