Delicious octopus wine

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 3-4 kilos of octopus
  • 100 ml white apple cider vinegar
  • 1 liter of water
  • 300 ml mavrodafni
  • 1. Onion onion bone
  • 1 laurel leaf
  • 6-8 grains of allspice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 500 gr. concentrated tomato juice
  • salt
  • pepper

Implementation

  1. Fill a deep saucepan with 1 liter of water and add the vinegar. Then place a metal strainer in the bottom of the pot, in the water.
  2. Then, place the octopus in the colander. Cover the pot and steam the octopus until well softened.
    When it softens, cut its tentacles and clean it.
  3. At the same time, clean the onions and boil them until they soften, but being careful not to dissolve.
  4. In a large pan, pour the butter and the boiled onions and sauté until they turn brown. Then quench with mavrodafni and tomato juice.
  5. Add the octopus to the sauce together with the spices and cook for another 30 minutes, until the sauce sets.
