An "international conference" on Varosia is being prepared at a Turkish university in the autumn, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said, adding that they would do "what international law requires" for Varosia and that they would take these steps without reservation.
In an interview with the Turkish channel ATV, the Turkish President said that they gave the message during his visit to the occupied territories and added that some countries and organizations began to threaten. Asked if this "international conference" would cover the Cyprus issue and the eastern Mediterranean in general, the Turkish president said yes but said he would focus mainly on Varos.
