Extrajudicial fines, totaling 650 euros, were issued on Sunday by members of the Thera Service to two hunters in the Paphos District.
According to a representative of the Paphos Police Directorate, members of the Thera Service denounced the two hunters who were illegal during Sunday's raid.
The first hunter from a village in Limassol, while hunting in an area of the village of Agios Ioannis, was found using an illegal device that reproduces the sound of birds. The specific hunter will pay a fine of 500 euros while his hunting prey was confiscated.
In another case, another hunter was found in an area of the village of Psathi with his shotgun mounted while driving his vehicle in the area. The second hunter was fined 150 euros.
