An Anniversary Event of Memory and Honor of the Greek Freedom Fighters is organized by the Municipalities of Ayia Napa and Sotiras in collaboration with the Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 19:00 at the "Giorgos Seferis" Cultural Center of Agia Napa.
The program will begin with greetings from the Mayors of Ayia Napa and Sotiras, Mr. Christos Zannettos and George Takkas, the President of the Council of Historical Remembrance of the Struggle E.OK.A. (S.I.M.A.E.) Mr. Andreas Maimaridis and by the professor, member of the Board of Administration of the EKPA and President of the Committee of the University of Athens for Cyprus, Mr. Achilleus G. Chaldaiaki.
This is followed by a short introduction by the professor of the Department of Music Studies and Maestro Mr. Nikolaos Malliaras, and immediately after a concert of competitive songs by the Four-part Mixed Choir of the Department of Music Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy of the E.K.P.A., which he will accompany on the piano Mr. Marios Ioannou.
