Autumn has arrived and while for many it is just the change of season, for those who have a family or live alone in a house, it means that it is time to enjoy our summer clothes and organize the autumn and winter.
Storing summer clothes for most of us is a chore that should be done and not postponed. Many and many find it difficult to find the golden section, so that their clothes fit and organize in a practical way.

Make sure you have boxes or storage bags for donating or throwing away clothes so you can move them from home right away.
The same clarification applies to children's clothes since next season they will be small. Save them in case you are pregnant next.
Once you have finished cleaning and deciding what clothes to keep, freshen them for any stains that are not visible. If clothes are stored with stains, they will be difficult to clean next year.
Particular attention should be paid to the clothes (T-shirts, pareos, etc.) worn on the beach, if we leave them with sea salt, it is more likely that when we take them out of the closet again, they will only be used as dusters.

Alternatively, you can store your T-shirts and shorts in old pillowcases. They will protect your summer clothes just as effectively and you will not have to spend even half a cent
Many garments, such as knitwear, need to be folded instead of hung. Choose polypropylene plastic boxes for safe storage of clothes. Cardboard boxes should be avoided. Many boxes are made of wood pulp that can cause yellowing and stains on clothes. In addition, the glue that holds the box together can attract insects.
After emptying your closet is the right time to clean it as well as the space where you will store summer clothes.
If space allows, make the necessary modifications for the best function of the wardrobe.
Store clothes in a clean, cool, dark and well-ventilated place.
Avoid the attic or garage as storage because it is very hot in summer and the basement because it has too much moisture.

Baskets are definitely a very practical solution to enjoy the summer and winter. If you have only one closet at home, you can put the summer ones on the top shelf and the winter ones on the bottom. Use the shelf that you reach most easily for the clothes you wear most often.

Another option is to put some of your winter clothes on the top shelf of the closet and the summer ones on the lower shelves. It is certainly not as practical as the previous ones, but there are those of us who do not have many closets in the house.
If you are one of the lucky ones who have closets with many shelves and cases, then you should definitely take advantage of them all. Put a part of your summer clothes in a corner of the closet and in the main part put the clothes that you will wear more often this year!
Belts, scarves, shawls and pashminas are the accessories that women love. They can transform an outfit and add style and color. That is why they usually have a prominent place in the women's wardrobe.
Hangers (simple or special for accessories) are a storage solution. From there you can place them in drawers using special cases or dividers. Alternatively, put them in boxes or shelves folded so that they stand out.
If you want, you can use a simple hanger with curtain rings to organize them better.
There are many alternative ways to store your shoes.
The simplest is to use the bottom of your closet to put your everyday shoes without their boxes. So at a glance you will see what you have and you will be able to quickly and easily make beautiful combinations of clothes - shoes.
You can also place them on boxes containing other pairs that you do not wear every day, such as formal ones that need to be closed to protect them.
Another way to arrange the shoes is the hanging case. It can be inserted in the closet rail or behind its door. If you still have more space you can use a shoe rack with shelves or boxes.
Beyond that, the boots should be stored without being crushed to maintain their shape and to be ventilated. If you want, you can even use one of the so-called swimming spaghetti which you will cut to the length that suits you, periodically or a hard cardboard so that their skin does not wear out and crease.
Similarly, you can organize your bags. Try hanging them on hooks or putting them on shelves with dividers between them. Ideally, place paper inside them to keep their shape and not wear out.
Some women also prefer to use a monk to hang their everyday bags, thus freeing up space in their closet.
Before fitting your clothes, you should have washed and ironed them. This way they will not smell bad and will not be crumpled until next Summer.
We can put our clothes in baskets so that they are always neat and do not wrinkle easily.
If we want to be ready for an Easter outing or a magical bath and we do not want to do everything in the closet to discover our swimsuit, we make sure to "isolate" it in a special bag (along with some summer clothes), in which we will have easy access to.
It is a mistake to think that only winter clothes need fragrances or insect repellents. And in summer we use lavender or camphor, of course in smaller quantities. For the best smell of the clothes we use scented sachet or melted bath soaps.
You should place the thick blouses on a separate shelf and the thin t-shirts on a separate shelf so that they are easier to find. We can, if we want, before storing the clothes, perfume them so that they smell even nicer when we use them again.
