Turning a cave into a house: Angelo Mastropietro was a businessman. He wanted to become a man of the caves. This is because he chose to live in a cave. However, he took care of turning it into a house first. In more detail:

Conversion of a cave into a house: Details of the house

The 37-year-old transformed an 800-year-old cave in Worcestershire Wyre Forest into a state-of-the-art 21st century cave. It has running water, underfloor heating and wi-fi. Mastropietro was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 29. This was something that changed his life. It made him reconsider his long career in recruiting staff, the stress and unhealthy lifestyle he followed. To make his dream come true he started digging, cutting and digging in the porous hill - he took out 70 tons of stones with his hands! "My diagnosis of multiple sclerosis was the catalyst that made me rethink my life" , he said on the show Grand Designs in which his separate house was presented. "It is in a great location, it makes you feel good, it relaxes you. "While you are close to the nearest pub and supermarket, you are at the same time very far in time."

The 37-year-old father of two, who returned to Britain in 2010 after living in Australia for a decade, accidentally found the cave in 1999 when he and his friends were looking for shelter in the rain during a bike ride. The cave was later put up for sale for 85.000 euros. Then, with a budget of 135.000 euros, he began his tireless effort to open and expand the cave by digging inside his stone shelter.

Here are twenty photos of the house:
