With the extension by 4 km to Nice, metro line 3 will have 24 stations that will reach 27 in 2022, with the addition of "Maniatika", "Piraeus" and "Municipal Theater" stations.
According to his information Urban Transport Organization, from the day the three new stations were handed over to traffic, the redesign of bus lines in the wider area of the municipalities of Keratsini - Drapetsonas, Nikaia - Ag. Ioannis Renti, Korydallou, Saint Barbaras, Perama and Piraeus, aiming at the interoperability of the road transport network with the new stations of line 3 of the metro.
The transport interventions, 12 in total, are based on the modifications of lines, so that there is the possibility of new transfers and on the other hand the establishment of a new line that will connect the Municipality of Piraeus with the metro network.
The remodeling of the lines is divided into two phases: The first phase, which was implemented with the start of operation of the three new stations, provides for immediate interventions, which will be evaluated after the first period of operation of the stations.
