In an atmosphere of emotion and excitement, on Good Friday, the Epitaph service was held at the Church of Agios Georgios of Exorinos in the walled city of Famagusta.
Hundreds of believers, Famagusta residents and non-people from every corner of Cyprus went for the Epitaph procession to the occupied city of Evagoras.

The service was organized by the Diocese of Constantia and Famagusta, the Municipality of Famagusta and the initiative group "Famagusta is our City".

At one o'clock in the afternoon the procession of Christ's burial took place. From that time the faithful came en masse to worship the Epitaph.
At 16.30 in the afternoon the Epitaph procession was performed and then around 18.00 the procession of the Epitaph in the walled city of Famagusta.
