The independent candidacy of Nikos Karoullas for mayor of Famagusta is supported by the District Secretariat of DISY Famagusta.
A written statement states that "the enlarged District Secretariat of the Democratic Alarm of Famagusta, in a joint meeting with the Municipal Group of the Democratic Alarm in the Municipality of Famagusta, unanimously accepted the proposal of the Municipal Group to support the independent candidacy of Nikos."
According to the announcement, "Mr. Karoullas with his timeless action has proved his commitment to the reunification of our homeland and the return to our beloved city, Famagusta."
