The opening of the photo exhibition on Wednesday was held on Wednesday with the theme of capturing the coastal front from the sea of the enclosed area of Famagusta entitled "Famagusta -Turkey's crime against humanity" by photographers Katia Christodoulou, Haris Hatziiordanis, and Elias Pantelidis at the press center, the Acheon Akti Polythematic Museum.

The inauguration was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Christodoulidis, who, in a short greeting, said that "the goal to bring the photos to life is common, and as a minimum reward to the three of you who had this difficult mission, to promise that we will all work so that it becomes an exhibition again with the same photos, but to be full of life by the legal residents of this city ".

Mr. Christodoulidis stated that "the issue is depressing and that even if we write, whatever we say can not, I believe, convey the feelings that are created when someone sees these photos."

In addition, he thanked the three for their risky mission. "Offer a unique opportunity to see these photos that I do not know if it is good to see them or it is better not to see them. "Honestly, as soon as I saw the photos I was trying to figure out if it was good to see them or not, but I think we have to see the positive side, in the sense that these photos we see tonight are the work you did," he said, congratulating them.

Referring to what has been heard about the besieged city and Famagusta in general lately, he said that some are trying to challenge the indisputable, property status of the area to emphasize that "all we can do here tonight is promise that we will do everything possible to bring these photos that we see to life ".

As Mr. Christodoulidis said, “I consider that every day that passes is more difficult in this endeavor. Despite the differences we have, different approaches, I want to believe that the goal of bringing the photos to life is common and as a minimum reward to the three of you who had this difficult mission, to promise that we will all work to make an exhibition again with the same photos, but to be full of life from the legal residents of this city ".

The photo exhibition will be open until Sunday, October 6.

The well-known archaeologist - art historian Anna Marangou made a brief historical review of the city of Famagusta, saying that "the city was not only hotels, they were our homes".

"We built a city on the sea, it was a model," he said.
