Ersin Tatar considers the reinstatement of the Guterres framework and the continuation of the talks from where they left off in Crans-Montana "an imposition", arguing that in those talks the aim was to impose a solution that would lead to a single state with a federal basis and under Greek rule, with the removal of Turkey's guarantees.

In his speech on the 49th black anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the Turkish leader also claimed that "now they are making the same impositions. From here, I once again appeal to the world: we will not accept such a solution, we will not submit to impositions, we will not sit at the negotiating table until our sovereign equality and equal international status are recognized."

He further claimed that the main objective of the "Greek-E/K duo and their supporters is, under the federal solution, to destroy the state created with the acquired sovereign equality of the peoples, to remove Turkey's guarantee by imposing "zero army-zero guarantees" and drive the Turkish army away from Cyprus". He added that he is in favor of a solution and an agreement but the aforementioned cannot be accepted.

"If today we live free, sovereign, without fear and with our heads held high under the roof of our own state in our own homeland, we owe it to the struggle of the people that lasted a century, to our holy fallen, to the happy peace enterprise of July 20, to our fighters and Mehmetsiks," he said.

Ersin Tatar made a long historical journey from the time of the Ottoman Empire, 1821, the time of the British rule, the creation of the EOKA, the TMT, the establishment of the Republic of Cyprus, the bi-communal riots and the invasion.

"My dear brothers, with the epic resistance carried out under the leadership of the TMT, our people, considered as a minority and hosted by the Greek Cypriots, managed to become an equal founding partner of the Republic of Cyprus, which was established in 1960. But, it was not possible for the Turkish Cypriots to take their place in the state administration, who according to the unchanged and still continuing Greek Cypriot mentality are a minority," he said.

According to the GTP, referring to the 1974 coup and invasion, Ersin Tatar claimed that if the Turkish army did not come there would be a genocide of Turks and the whole island would become Greek.

Referring to the declaration of the pseudo-state in 1983, he argued that it represents the existence and will of the Turkish Cypriot "people", it is a sovereign, free and modern "state" with all its institutions.

"Another obstacle in front of the solution is the support given to the duo of Greek Cypriots and Greece by the imperialist powers and the European Union, which cannot digest the existence of the pseudo-state", he argued. He said the pseudo-state is "a Turkish state" in the Eastern Mediterranean and is the fulcrum of Turkish sovereignty. "The illegal attitude of the EU that discriminates in the Cyprus issue encourages the EU-Greece duo and dynamizes the efforts for a solution", he repeated. "It shows the true face of the EU the fact that it did not implement even one of the promises it made to the Turkish Cypriots during the Annan Plan process and took as its member the Greek Cypriot side that said no to the referendum," he also argued.

Reiterating the position that the Annan Plan process and the Crans Montana talks had shown that it was not possible to reach an agreement on a federal basis, Mr Tatar said that their proposal for a solution on the basis of having "two separate sovereign states" and the institutional cooperation between them and submitted this proposal to the United Nations at the Geneva meeting for the first time.

"This form of solution that is also supported by the motherland is the only way to a solution for the benefit of Cyprus and the region. We will not back down from this proposition. We will not sit at the negotiating table without recognition of our sovereign equality and equal international status," he reiterated.

The opening of Varosios will continue

Recalling that in 2020 they began to open the closed city of Varosi, "taking into account international law and human rights", as he claimed, Ersin Tatar argued that Varosi is part of the "tdvk" and added that some public areas in closed Varosi and a part of the beach.

Noting that they have moved to the second stage of the opening of Varosi, he said that by removing from the status of the military zone an area corresponding to 3,5% of the closed Varosi, they have enabled the "real estate committee" to decide on the beneficiaries who deserve with a request for the return of their property.

Stating that to date over 500 Greek Cypriots have joined the "committee" and over a million people have visited the closed Varosi, Ersin Tatar said that all this shows how correct the opening of Varosi was, while at the same time they contribute to the economy. The opening of Varosi will continue, he added.

Energy

"While the Greek Cypriot side, which considers itself the sole owner of Cyprus, continues its efforts to claim the Eastern Mediterranean and energy resources, it tries to exclude the motherland Turkey and the tdvk. We will not remain spectators in front of these initiatives of the Greek Cypriot side. We will continue to fight with determination in the Blue Homeland, as on land and in the air," said Mr. Tatar on the issue of energy.

He repeated the talk about the E/K-Greece duo and said that the "twin" and "some circles who know that their greatest power is the motherland Turkey, are conducting all kinds of provocations and impression operations with the aim of cutting off the existing ties with Turkey ». Finally, he said, "to be careful and awake towards them, to embrace the motherland Turkey more tightly".
