The upgrade of the Ayia Napa - Cape Greco bicycle road is completed in early February

The upgrade and maintenance works of the 9 km long Ayia Napa - Cape Greco bicycle road continue at an intensive pace, which are expected to be completed at the end of January and the beginning of February 2018.

According to a relevant announcement of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, the works started on December 27, 2017 by the construction company ANC Waterproofing Industry Ltd at a cost of € 500 thousand, while the supervision of the project was undertaken by the Department of Public Works.

So far, the old asphalt road has been removed along its entire length and its paving with asphalt concrete has begun.

With the completion of the asphalt paving, line marking, design of bicycle symbols will be done and new stakes and sign plates will be placed, in order to enable the users to move easily and safely.

The reconstruction of the bike path is implemented according to the European standards that will make it a modern and modern bike path.

The project is among the projects announced by the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis during his visit to the Province of Famagusta last September, the announcement concludes.
