A new incident of violence took place in a public hospital, according to a report by AlphaNews.Live, at the General Hospital of Famagusta, where a patient allegedly attacked and hit a nurse, injuring his genitals and leaving him unconscious.

Specifically, according to a source cited by AlphaNewsLive, it was around midnight when a patient, who is being treated at the Pathology Department of the Famagusta General Hospital, showed restless and aggressive behavior, so the nursing staff called his relatives.

According to the nurse's testimony, around 3 in the morning, the patient lit a cigarette in the room and the nurse noticed him and took his cigarette. The patient then kicked the nurse, injuring him in the lower abdomen and throwing him unconscious on the floor.

Other nurses rushed to the scene, with the patient attacking them with punches and kicks.

The incident took place in the presence of the patient's relatives, as well as other patients who are being treated in the same ward.

Members of the Police went to the spot for examinations.
