The first road race "Evagoria 2022", one, five and ten kilometers, was successfully held this morning in the community of Avgorou, which was organized by the Community Council of Avgoros and the Cyprus Runners' Association "Periklis Dimitriou" in memory of the victims of road accidents .
The participants in the road race had the opportunity to pass through the most important sights of the community as well as from the habitat of the Achna dam. The starting and finishing point of the road race was the community square where the prizes were awarded to the capitalists. The awards were made by the Secretary of the Council of Ministers Theodosi Tsiolas, the Commonwealth Chief Panagi Michaelas and the Head of the Xylofagos Police Station, Lieutenant Andreas Ttofi who represented the Famagusta Police Department at the event.
After the race, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy free food from kiosks operating in the area as well as to have fun with traditional dances.
Members of the Xylofagos Police Station were responsible for policing and the corresponding arrangements of the traffic trajectory.
