Permission for another hotel in Ayia Napa

Permission to build a new hotel, Vinandale, in Ayia Napa is given by the environmental authority.

According to the reasoned finding issued, the hotel will have four stars with a capacity of 262 beds.

The hotel unit under study is proposed to be built on block 475, F / Fig.2-291-373, section 08, at the location of Kamara in Ayia Napa, which is located at an altitude of about 20 meters above sea level, without being in contact with her. It falls into a tourist zone.

The current use of the plot is a non-cultivable field with substandard vegetation. According to the information provided by the applicants in the permit, there are no water wells, water well protection zones, dams or dam protection zones used for water supply in the study area.

The proposed hotel unit will be 4 stars, with a capacity of 264 beds and will consist of basement, ground floor, mezzanine and four floors. It will occupy an area of ​​approximately 1857 sqm while the total construction of the project will amount to 5387 sqm.

It will include 126 standard rooms, 6 rooms for the disabled and all the necessary for the category of common areas and related facilities such as reception area, bar, restaurants, swimming pools, SPA etc. According to the architectural plans the hotel unit will have a total 84 basement and ground floor parking spaces.

The environmental authority also set a number of conditions both during the construction of the project and during its operation.

Terms during the operation of the project

Among the conditions during the operation of the hotel is the prohibition of dumping on the ground and / or subsoil or in the surface, ground or coastal waters substances that pollute or tend to pollute the ground, coastal or even surface waters or the soil.

Household waste generated during the development operation should be channeled to the Ayia Napa Sewerage Board's central sewer system.

It is also forbidden to channel the backwash quantities of water from swimming pools into the Ayia Napa sewer system. Disposal of liquid waste into absorption pits / ditches is also prohibited.

In addition, the intensity of the lighting should be properly adjusted so as not to cause any problems in the neighboring developments and to avoid the reckless use of electricity for lighting purposes during the night.

The use of renewable energy sources (eg solar panels for hot water production and photovoltaic panels for electricity generation) is also recommended.
