The 2nd day of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the National Polygenesis in Ayia Napa is in progress.
The celebrations began with a Doxology in the chapel of Agios Georgios in the presence of the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis and the former President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopi Pavlopoulos.
At this moment, the ceremony began in the Square in the Port of Ayia Napa where the unveiling of the monument for the unique battle that took place on March 17, 1826.
At the same time, the UKADES arrived at the spot by sea and land, carrying the flag of the Cypriots during the Greek Revolution, and handed over the symbol they carried to the Mayor of Ayia Napa.
The UKADES ran a total of 200km and swam 21km.
