According to its announcement, the Police last night arrested two young people, aged 22 and 21, as part of an investigation into drug possession cases.
The arrest of the 21-year-old was preceded yesterday afternoon by a warrant-based search of his apartment in Ayia Napa, during which a quantity of cannabis weighing approximately 500 grams, 100 grams of cocaine, five grams of cannabis resin, a precision scale and an amount of money in excess of 3,500 euros.
On the same day, following the written consent of the 22-year-old, a search was made at his home, which is also located in Ayia Napa.
During the investigation, a quantity of cannabis weighing approximately 500 grams, a quantity of cannabis resin weighing approximately 565 grams, 30 grams of cocaine, as well as 15 cannabis plants ranging from 12 to 50 centimeters in height were located.
The two arrested were taken into custody to facilitate police examinations.
