AGIA NAPA: 22-year-old intubated in Nicosia General Hospital after a traffic accident

A 22-year-old tourist is being intubated and is in a serious condition at Nicosia General Hospital after a road collision that happened last night in Ayia Napa.

The collision occurred around 9.30pm. yesterday, on Cabo Greco Avenue, in Ayia Napa. A 22-year-old tourist, under circumstances that are being investigated, lost control of the four-wheeled vehicle she was driving, causing it to overturn and stop off the road.

From the collision, both the 22-year-old driver and a 20-year-old tourist, who was also in the vehicle, were injured. They were taken by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital, where the 20-year-old refused medical treatment.

The 22-year-old, due to the seriousness of her condition, was intubated and taken to Nicosia General Hospital for further treatment.

The Famagusta Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Ayia Napa Police Station, are investigating the causes of the collision.
