Thanks to the immediate intervention of the Lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, a 36-year-old Greek Cypriot was rescued in the sea area of Ayia Napa.
According to one of the protagonists, at about 12:30 pm, on a beach near the port of Ayia Napa, the lifeguards of the Municipality located a person immersed in the water.
They immediately rushed him to the shore, where, after finding out that he was unconscious, they gave him first aid and brought him back to life.
An ambulance was then called and taken to a private clinic, followed by the Famagusta General Hospital.
