Police made two arrests for an equal number of cases of illegal possession and use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) this morning, in the province of Famagusta.

Specifically, around one in the morning today, members of the Police located in the area of ​​Ayia Napa, a 24-year-old man inhaling from a balloon, which contained laughing gas. During a subsequent search, in the possession of the 24-year-old, two unused metal ampoules, a used metal ampoule, an ampoule device and nine balloons were found and confiscated.

At about the same time, also in the Ayia Napa area, a 25-year-old man was spotted inhaling a balloon containing laughing gas. During a subsequent search, in the possession of the 25-year-old, two unused metal ampoules and 15 balloons were located and confiscated.

The above persons were arrested for spontaneous offenses and then transferred to a Police Station, where they were interrogated and charged in writing. They were then released to stand trial.
