Inauguration of the monumental ensemble "Family - the Guarantee of Peace" in the Port of Ayia Napa on November 4!
On November 4, 2021, at 19.00 in the Port of Ayia Napa, the official opening ceremony of the monumental ensemble "Family - the guarantee of Peace" will take place, which symbolizes the common Russian and Cypriot spiritual traditions, the values of unity and family as the main guarantors of peace on earth. The memorial column for the erection of the monument was inaugurated in an official ceremony on June 22, 2021. The monument, which is donated to Cyprus by the "Creative Universe" Foundation of Vyacheslav Zarenkov, is intended to become not only a place of attraction but also a symbol of Cyprus , a country that shares the values of peace and cooperation.
The inauguration will take place in the presence of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Mr. Giannis Karousos, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cyprus Mr. Stanislav Osanci, the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Christos Zannetos and the donors Mr. Vyacheslav and Galina Zarenkov.
It is symbolic that the inauguration of the monument will take place on the day of the Russian celebration of National Unity. This celebration personifies the end of the riots, the victory of the united citizens over the invaders, reminds the achievement of the ancestors, who showed an example of heroism and solidarity in the name of peace and freedom.
On November 4 in Russia, Orthodox Christians also honor the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan and commemorate the victories associated with it. The Icon was divided among the newlyweds at the wedding, and usually hung over the children's bed. People prayed in front of her image during the years of turmoil, wars and natural disasters. Under the protection of the miraculous Icon, the troops of the People's Militia marked the beginning of the end of the great unrest in Russia. Let the new symbol of Cyprus become the protector of the unity of the island and the happiness of all Cypriots!
The inauguration ceremony of the monument will take place with the participation of the Exemplary Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Guard and famous and young singers from Russia and Greece.
In a unique collaboration with the orchestra tonight will be presented the famous Greek singer Giannis Kotsiras, who along with his successes, paying tribute, will perform some of the most famous songs of the great Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis.
