The Municipality of Ayia Napa presents at the THALASSA Museum the photo exhibition of Stelios Cleanthos entitled "I am the Sea .."
The exhibition opens to the public on Friday, October 29, 2021 and will last until Tuesday, November 30, 2021. The exhibition is under the auspices of Ayia Napa Mayor Christos Zannettos.
Curriculum
My name is Stelios Cleanthous and I was born in Nicosia.
I have always loved living by the sea and nature, so at some point in my life, in the mid 80's, I moved here, in the area of Famagusta province.
I am a self-taught photographer and the sea is the one I explore the most.
There are endless possibilities, it is also really difficult to photograph the surface or even under this beast in stormy situations.
Most of the time you will find me by the sea when it is a storm,
and when everyone else is at home and in their comfort.
When I am in the water, my heart beats loudly and my senses are awake…
Every drop of water is an alarm…
These moments are unique and will not happen again in the same way…
My purpose is to make you feel the other side of this amazing place that I call my home and to show you that with the blink of an eye, you will lose that particular drop of water, wave or color that will be created.
