Music from Cyprus to Polis and from Thrace to Sweden with the "Burek Duo" at the Medieval Aqueduct of Ayia Napa. Tuesday 09/08/2022 at 9:00 p.m. Burek Duo is a musical group, in which the oud and the cello converse by playing music from Greece, Cyprus, pieces from classical Ottoman music, and even from Swedish traditional music.
Andreas Krabias on the oud and Maria Doumeni Cronholm on the cello, come to combine the sounds of their instruments and their musical backgrounds, creating their own unique sound. The name of the group refers to the term "burek" (or bureki), which is found in most of the countries where the music they play comes from.
