Everything is ready for the organization of the International Archery Games, for the first time, in the Province of Famagusta with the participation of 7 countries and 150 athletes, coaches, volunteers and actors.
Today, at 6:30 pm, at the Frenaru Community Council, the opening ceremony of the international archery competitions will take place.
The opening ceremony of the international archery competition "Aphrodite Mediterranean Cup" will be undertaken by the Secretary of the Council of Ministers, Theodosis Tsiolas in an impressive start which was curated by the community council of Frenaros.
The program of the opening ceremony will begin with a speech by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, the mayor of Frenaros and the President of the Cyprus Archery Federation Andreas Theofylaktos.
Then will be the presentation of the participating countries with their flags and mission leaders, as well as the peak moment of the announcement of the start.
Afterwards, there will be a gymnastic show from the Frenarous Olympiad and a dance program by the Frenarous Cultural Club.
Aphrodite Mediterranean Cup
The competitions named "APHRODITE MEDITERRANEAN CUP" are organized by the Cyprus Archery Federation and will be held in two areas of Free Famagusta from 2 to 4 November.
The President of the Federation stated that the opening ceremony and the main stage of the training and competition activities will take place in Frenaros from November 2 to 4.
"The closing ceremony and the finals of all categories will take place in the port of Ayia Napa on November 4 from 14.30 until 18.00," he noted.
Tomorrow afternoon there will be an archery seminar at the Sea Museum of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, while on Sunday there will be a big acquaintance excursion of Famagusta. The countries that parade are: Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Lebanon, Russia, the Netherlands, Scotland.
